Sao Paulo - Indaiatuba

So, we haven't written in some time but lots has been going on. Sao Paulo turned out to be quite a dull city. People call it the "cidade da garoa" because it drizzles all the time, especially in summer. Apart from that, it's also super expensive, certain things (metro, food...) almost reach european prices. We were surprised pizza costs about 2-3times more than in Italy - and of course cannot be compared :)

Carnival weekend was great, we went to Indaiatuba, a small town about an hour away from SP. Stayed at some friends house (the bikers we had met in Arraial D'Ajuda). They were extremely hospitable, generous and friendly - just 100% Brazilian! They are members of the local Samba School "Sereno", so on the Saturday we were parading with them through the streets of Indaiatuba, dressed up as tailors hahaha, and trying to sing the Sereno song. It was crazy! and Sereno ended up winning the carnival! The rest of the time consisted in eating, eating, dancing, and eating :) Lots of yummy Brazilian food at Alex and Daniela's house, Mocotò, Feijoada, and churrasqinhos - and lots of friends :)
